Shill bidding is a technique that artificially increases an item’s desirability or price.  This practice includes bidding by people related to or known to the Seller, including family Members, roommates, or employees, or any other individuals who may have information about an item that other Members and potential Buyers are not aware of.  Because reFINEstyle’s goal is to provide a fair marketplace to all, reFINEstyle does NOT PERMIT shill bidding.  Please note that shill bidding is also considered illegal many places around the world.   It is imperative that you REPORT this activity if you believe or witness someone shill bidding.  Please report it to violations@reFINEstyle.com and include the Member’s User ID and the item number.
